§ 02Principles of data processing

ConsultIQ processes personal data only to the extent necessary and on the basis of the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). This website is deliberately designed to minimise data collection. Processing occurs only when you visit the website or proactively contact us.

Legal bases: depending on the activity, processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent), (b) GDPR (contract initiation and performance) or (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functional website).

§ 03Hosting

This website is hosted on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform (Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps). The provider is Microsoft contracting entity to be entered, e.g. Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.. When the website is accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data to deliver the page.

The hosting region Azure region to be entered, e.g. West Europe / Germany West Central is configured. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. A data processing agreement in the form of the Microsoft Data Protection Addendum (DPA) is in place with the provider. To the extent that data is transferred to a third country, this is done on the basis of EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

§ 04Server log files

When the website is accessed, information that your browser transmits is automatically recorded. This typically includes: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, date and time of access, and the IP address in shortened or anonymised form.

This data is not merged with other data sources. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR to ensure stable and secure operation. Log files are deleted after no more than 30 days unless required to investigate a specific security incident.

§ 05SSL / TLS encryption

For security reasons, this website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the padlock icon in your browser's address bar and the “https://” prefix.

§ 06Contact

If you contact us by email or via the contact form on this website, the data you provide will be stored to process your enquiry. We process in particular your name, company, contact details and the content of your message.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns contract initiation, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Note on the contact form: the form does not store data on this website. It composes a message using the values you enter and opens your local email client, which then sends the message directly to contact@consultiq.net.

§ 07Cookies

This website does not use tracking or marketing cookies. Where technically necessary cookies are used, they serve exclusively to ensure the basic functionality of the site (e.g. the language choice stored in the browser). No consent is required for purely technically necessary cookies under § 25 (2) TDDDG (German Telecommunications and Digital Services Data Protection Act).

Since no tracking takes place, a cookie consent banner is not required. Should a technology requiring consent be integrated in the future, a consent mechanism will be implemented in advance and this section adjusted accordingly.

§ 08Typefaces

This website uses the typefaces Space Grotesk, Inter and JetBrains Mono. The font files are served from the same server as the website itself (self-hosting). No transmission to Google Fonts or any other third-party occurs. Licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

§ 09Web analytics with Plausible Analytics (optional)

Optional section: activate this section only if Plausible Analytics is actually integrated. Without web analytics, this section can be removed entirely.

If web analytics is performed, Plausible Analytics is used. Plausible is a cookie-free, privacy-friendly analytics tool. No personal profiles are created, no cookies are set and no data is merged across devices. Only aggregated, anonymous usage statistics are collected.

Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Provider and hosting region are to be specified: Plausible provider and hosting location, e.g. Plausible Insights OÜ, EU hosting.

§ 10Your rights as a data subject

You have the following rights vis-à-vis ConsultIQ regarding your personal data:

• Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
• Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
• Erasure of your data, where no retention obligations apply (Art. 17 GDPR)
• Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• Data portability in a structured, common format (Art. 20 GDPR)
• Objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR)
• Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

An informal message to the contact details given in § 01 is sufficient to exercise these rights.

§ 11Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

Without prejudice to other legal remedies, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The supervisory authority of the federal state in which ConsultIQ is based is competent:
